In October 2010, I photographed my first engagement session. At the time, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to have my business under my own name or something else. I decided on the latter, but still spent the years following wondering what if? After more than five years of being Beatific Photography, it’s a little strange to be coming back to where I first started – operating my photography business under my own name. I’ve come to realize, though, that while I will always love the Beatific Photography name and what I accomplished under it, my business and brand needs to be in my name. It’s time for a new beginning. It’s time to come home.

The idea of coming home, or being at home, is something that is evident throughout this new brand. Home is where you’re most most comfortable and where you can truly be who you are. It’s where you’ll make the majority of your memories that you share of who you were when. It’s the place you’ll always come back to, whether literally or figuratively through the emotions of looking back on your past.

This brand has been a labor of love a year in the making. I have so much to share over the coming weeks, but for now, here’s a preview of two different newborn sessions from last fall. Check everything out and let me know what you think. I’m truly proud of this new brand and everything it stands for, and I hope that shows.
